ASNM's annual meetings and symposia typically offer the following credit types.  ASNM collects the sign in / out sheets and evaluations from each event and submits them to the credit providers for processing.  Should you have questions regarding your credits, please contact the specific provider as listed in the event program.

  • CME - Accredited CME is based on a learner-centered, continuous improvement model. Accredited providers facilitate self-directed, practice-based education that supports physicians’ commitment to lifelong learning. Whether health care professionals work in clinical care, research, administration, executive leadership, or other areas of medicine, accredited CME is tailored to their needs and scope of practice.
  • ASET - ASET Continuing Education Units (ASET-CEUs) are awarded to programs who apply to ASET for this designation and who maintain the highest quality of education for the profession. Attendees are then awarded ASET-CEUs for the number of hours in which they participate in a particular program. These ASET CEUs can then be used to document continuing education for recertification or professional development within a hospital setting. ASET CEUs are recognized by ABRET and BRPT for recertification.
  • AAA - In order for members to obtain a full range of training, the American Academy of Audiology partners with its approved CE Providers to offer CEUs. The Academy records CEUs submitted by CE Providers in the member’s record which is then available to members through the CE Registry. The CE Registry is a quick and easy way to track your CEUs - most states recognize the Academy’s transcript as an official document.

ASNM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

ASNM is an ABRET approved provider of continuing education for their IONM related credentials. ABRET is the credentialing board for Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologists, Evoked Potential (EP) Technologists, and Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) Technologists, Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) Technologists, and Autonomic Testing Professionals (CAP). Such crediting, however, should not be construed by program participants as endorsement of any type of instruments or supplies mentioned or involved in these presentations. Please be advised that for continuing education hours to apply towards the EEG test, they must be ASET CEUs; however, ASNM CEUs are eligible for the recertification of the EEG credential as well as towards CNIM and EP credentials and recertification.
