The American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring is an non-profit Society that was founded in 1990 to serve the emerging field of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM)
The ASNM seeks to develop, define, and enhance the practice of IONM, provide a forum for the dissemination of high-quality educational offerings via postings, meetings, webinars, and other resources, articulate the value of IONM to all stakeholders, build partnerships and coalitions with our surgical and anesthesia partners in care, foster the IONM community, and promote the stature of the profession.
With almost 1,000 members from around the world, The Society is dedicated to the advancement of quality neurophysiologic monitoring services for neuroprotection.
ASNM members represent a wide variety of professions – from intraoperative monitoring professionals, audiologists, neurophysiologists, neurosurgeons, and neurologists, orthopedists, ENT surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, to other professionals involved in interventional intraoperative neuromonitoring.
